Luther and the Reformation

Class, we are knee deep in our discussion of Martin Luther. We've examined his 95 Thesis and noted the history of this major event in both religious and secular history. Our discussions have primarily considered the Reformation from Luther's perspective. I'd like you to take some time to consider the Reformation from a Catholic perspective, so I am putting up a couple of articles.

Here's the first one. "Can Catholics Celebrate the Reformation?"

Here's the second one. "A Catholic Perspective on the Reformation"

You are to write a short reflection on the Reformation articles above, considering the three C's. What is the most compelling (or interesting) thing you learned? What is the most controversial? What is the most confusing? We will discuss these in class next week and finish up the remaining 15 minutes of our video on Luther and the Reformation.

I also gave you two words to define:

Worship

Veneration

As far as the field trip to the Buddist temple, we are planning on Nov. 2nd. I hope you can all attend!
